Hard wiring into the router is not a good option.
I have a T23 with an Orinoco Gold classic PC card which works very well, at least under Windows XP. It used to work fine under Fedora, but recent distributions do not seem to support this card, which I think is very similar to yours. There is a tiny socket on the Orinoco card which allows an extension aerial to be inserted. I tried this some years ago, but it did not seem to improve reception in my case, which as I said is perfectly adequate anyway, -- Timothy Murphy e-mail: gayleard /at/ eircom.net tel: +353-86-2336090, +353-1-2842366 s-mail: School of Mathematics, Trinity College, Dublin 2, Ireland _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
