I have no problem with the preloaded OS; but take a different approach.
Namely, I uninstall what I don't need or want, install what I do need or
want, set (one) restore point, and then Ghost the system. This gives me my
own set of reinstall material from which I can restore the system as I
need it.

I keep the main Ghost handy and run regular backups of my
personal/business files.

So far, this has proven an effective strategy (though only needed once).
