You can put a T5500 or T5600 which have 2MB L2 cache, or T7200/7400/7600 which have 4MB and are more expensive.
Agreed with SSD advice, but only if you plan on running W7 - I really didn't like it that much in XP. So I'm looking into upgrading the machine internally. It's a 200776U with a Centrino Duo, running XP, 2Gig, and 350G disk. I know I can usefully add another gig of memory, but is there any plausible way to put a faster processor in it? Knowing the complexity of such things, I suspect not, but thought I'd check. Any suggestions? _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad _______________________________________________ Thinkpad mailing list [email protected] http://stderr.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/thinkpad
