I have a T61p running Windows 7 (64-bit) and recently I started experiencing
a very annoying thing happening. When I right-click on menu items in
various applications (including Windows Explorer) certain menu selections
remain on the screen (white text on a blue banner). This graphic sits on
top of any other windows I open and the only thing that I have come up with
to clear it is to restart the machine.

Anyone else ever see this happen or know how to get rid of it?

One other thing that may or may not have anything to do with this is that
the Lenovo's Message Center periodically shows a flag and when I click on
it, it tells me about a problem with the nVidia driver. However, when I
click on the link to get a new driver, it tells me that I don't have a
connection to the internet which is obviously not correct. This message
about not being able to connect only happens on reports of nVidia problems
and not on other problems that get flagged.

Thanks.
