Thanks. :) Paying only $1000 for a computer (X220 in my case) seems like peanuts compared to the C$5000 and U$3000 (C$4000) for my first two ThinkPads. But I haven't yet abandoned a ThinkPad in <5yr (except to pass it down to someone with a >5yr machine) though I don't know if I've ever actually used service.
