Hi, I'm thinking of upgrading the 64GB SSD in my X300 and replacing
the 250GB HD in my X220.

Am I right that both require a 7mm SSD? And is there any easy way to
identify which is which? Neither Amazon nor Newegg seems to offer it
(7mm vs. 9mm) as a filter so I'm forced to check each one. I think the
Samsungs may have a "7" in the model name.

That said, any recommendations on make, model, or supplier (shipping
is to US)? I'm thinking 128GB for the X300 and wondering about 256GB
vs. 512GB for the X220 (would be nice to get more space though it
looks like 512GB is the current biggest and therefore most $/GB).

Finally, using the old device as an external doesn't have a lot of
appeal, 250GB is pretty puny and I'm thinking I may just want a cable
or something for data transfer, vs. an enclosure. Is that reasonable,
or is there a really good use for a 250GB HD or 64GB SSD? And what
cable/data transfer solution do you recommend?

Thanks!
