LOL.  That's EXACTLY my configuration.  512GB Crucial SSD.
 
Like it's not horridly slow, but it's not my T61p either (same config, but
7200RPM WD Scorpio).

I think my warranty expires in 2014 anyways, so I planned on keeping the
machine until then at least,
but it is pretty slow, especially for Photoshop (working with raw images
from a 5D Mark II).

You might be holding onto that X61T for quite some time.

I'm doing the same thing...no tablets with serious resolution insight, at
least not from Lenovo...

Does Lenovo make any X Tablets with screen resolutions higher than 


 1366x768?  I'm still using my X61T because I can't find anything with a 


 minimum  


 1400x1050 res that I require.
