You might be surprised to learn that some machines were built there long after 
Lenovo had acquired the brand.

I've just sold a T61 (dated October of 2008) which was "assembled in Mexico of 
U.S. and non-U.S. components for Lenovo". My X61T bears the same statement on 
the bottom, build date September of the same year.

Furthermore, I've seen and owned (still have 3) a bunch of Lenovo-era units 
that were "assembled in the U.S. of U.S. and non-U.S. components for Lenovo"...

And the beat goes on...
