Hello,

It doesn't seem to me that that would work, as repair is normally used when the Excel will not launch.

Its unstable when doing big formatting changes to all sheets and cells otherwise it works ok.

Office was a complete nightmare to get working and has made me vow to never buy
a genuine copy again.
I am sure even a pirate copy would be less hassle than this cynical ploy by MS to get me to
upgrade from the trial for more money than it costs to buy.

Thanks for the reply i may try it after the "nuclear option" that i am doing now.
ie taking my XP OS back to October last year pre any office install :(

Then another lot of installing office rebooting patches etc.

Grrr i hate Microsoft even more now.

You could try a repair: Add/Remove Programs, Change (on the MS Office 2010 entry), then pick repair.

When done, reboot, then apply the patches.

Contrary to Steve Andre', I haven't had any problems with Office. And with all the security GPOs we run here, that in itself is a miracle.
