Thanks Aryeh, My X220's initial video problems after getting a new system board and replacing the HD with SSD seem to have settled down. I'll try the other location again next week.
Meanwhile I bought a 128GB 1.8" MyDigital SSD for the X300, unfortunately I bought the wrong adapter to use my Apricorn cable with the 1.8" drive. I bought with Amazon Prime and the Amazon-paid return shipping is $8 (on a $7 part!) so I'll pay myself which will probably be 45c if I get a friend to mail from the US. :) I can get the right adapter from the same supplier on Amazon Prime ($7), or get the full USB-1.8" cable from HKG for $5 on eBay ($7 from CA). Normally I'd jump on the Amazon Prime one but it will sit at destination for about two weeks before I get it so maybe I should go for a second cable. Thanks again for the advice. -- Andrew mailto:[email protected] Wednesday, July 25, 2012, 1:13:59 AM, you wrote: > Hello, > The X220 has a 7mm high drive bay in it.
