I do not know if it helps at all but I tried to recreate this condition without success on my system but these are my versions
WinXP Pro SP3 Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 Webmail 1.3.2 I can leave Thunderbird offline for longer than the 30 minutes suggested here. Going back online I experience no errors in communicating with GMail, Yahoo and Hotmail. Later I will retry with Webmail 1.3.3b3.
