Yes, I can cut the checks way back. I failed to mention when I disabled the check on startup, that I also reduced the frequency of the checks. They were set back in the days when I was using Yahoo as one of several email addresses for our users to contact our HelpDesk. If our email went down, they could use our Yahoo address to get to the HelpDesk, hence the need for frequent checking. I'd not changed, or had need to look at, the server settings for years. Of concern is this is a recent behaviour, the last month or so. Granted I do not follow the discussions here as much as I once did. I was aware that Yahoo has had recent issues and tried several of the beta versions as the author worked through the changes. I was not aware that the method WebMail used for downloading Yahoo had changed.
