These Webmail extensions are not able to provide IMAP access to
Hotmail or Yahoo currently.

IMAP has been free and available for quite a while for all Hotmail
accounts provided you use a Microsoft provided mail client. The
current freely available Microsoft mail client is Windows Live Mail
and it provides free IMAP access to all Hotmail accounts without
exception.

There has been discussion in this forum of freely available IMAP
access on free Yahoo accounts via Thunderbird. The IMAP servers for
Yahoo require extra support that is not supported by the current
versions of Thunderbird. There is apparently a modified version of
Thunderbird that can be downloaded which has the necessary support for
the free IMAP servers of Yahoo. The link to one of the threads is
below. However, please be aware that using a modified version of
Thunderbird from a site not operated by the Thunderbird developers
would be entirely at your own risk.
