Tnx, Alan for clearing this up for me as I was under the impression
that only paid users were able to the imap at Hotmail site and I
didn't that there was a problem with TB using Yahoo's imap service
because additional requirements. Maybe someday we get things all put
together but of course someone will change things again.

I was left out in cold when Microsoft changed the Hotmail service as I
was using OE6 with Win 2000 Pro. They and myself were unable to even
get the pop3 service to work with my version OE6.It was going cost me
around $250.00 -$500.00 to install a new operating system just so I
could use their site; otherwise, service said I would need to have
their paid service.

Thanks to Thunderbird and its webmail extension I can still get my
emails. I now only use their service on limited basic as I now use
primary Gmail. The Hotmail site also was giving me problems when I
sent encrypted emails as they apparently attempt to open the emails to
add their little site messages. The only way I could get around the
problem was to send the messages as attachments.
