I am running Outlook express, and using the POP is not helpful, as it aggregates all POP accounts into a single file folder. Wheres IMAP, gives me separate folders for inbox, send, etc. I have been switching over my family to gmail, that has IMAP, but also do not want to lose my hotmail accounts. Is this something that you will have, as my office computer and some of my laptops use Windows 2000 and cannot run Livemail.

Also the POP does not sync my Junk Mail and Bulk Mail accounts, and with your new filters in place, many of my family and friends get moved to Junk and have to be moved back. Even your confirmation email was moved to junk, which will not be visible in my POP, but should be visible in IMAP.

Hope you have a solution for those of us who use Windows 2000 and Outlook Express.

True.....

We Were Hoping that soon Webmail will Add the "Saved On Hotmail" folder, that would help.

Even Better,
Hotmail Have Been Getting Flack, for Years, about not giving out IMAP (What you see is what you get) Folders.....

See This Microsoft Support Feed for Hotmail, reporting the problems of POP, and when are Superior IMAP folders to be available, with several pages between Microsoft support and Hotmail users over a few months.

It is Very interesting, and answers some of the Basic Questions of Limitations and why does everyone else have IMAP option as well, as the ancient POP. and When.

I followed a link posted on this forum and got Thunderbird working

http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla_messaging/topics/hotmail_thunderbi...

First I removed the webmail and hotmail add-ons

Then I deleted my hotmail account and then added it again using

Tools - Account Settings - Account actions (right at bottom left) -
add mail account

It now works Great
