I recently set up two Yahoo accounts for imap using TB2.   Yahoo imap
works OK, although it isn't the speediest system in the world.   On
the other hand, it's all Yahoo offers for free (vs. POP access) in the
US.   How do you know your account isn't downloading but maybe just
slow?
