Realistically, support for legacy software that runs under Windows 98 is going to be pretty thin on the ground. There can't be very many people still running software that is well over a decade old. Your major problem is that although your system may perform perfectly well for you in itself, it's totally at the mercy of changes to any outside software that it has to interact with, in this case Yahoo webmail. Because Yahoo have changed the webmail interface, you now need a new version of the Yahoo webmail extension. Unfortunately, because you represent such a small number of users (you may well be unique in still using webmail with Windows 98!) you will be a low priority on any software developers agenda. It's also quite possible that the webmail author no longer has access to a Windows 98 system to develop and test any updates.

Hi,
As mentioned, the
yahoo-1-5-8b1.xpi
at
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B12SpPN0s2lARVFlZVF6NjVBRVk/edit
does not work for
Thunderbird 2.0.0.22?
Any chance I may find an update here that will work for Thunderbird 2.0.0.22?
Thank you very much.
Please post a note if it isn't going to happen.
Much appreciated.
Thanks again,
Seeya

        Hello, I have Windows 98, Thunderbird 2.0.0.22
        I've been using
        Webmail 1.3.13
        Webmail-Yahoo 1.4.7
        successfully for a couple years.

        Problem:
Windows 98 only can use up to Thunderbird 2 (Not 3 and above)
The latest yahoo1-5-8b1.xpi says it needs TB 3 or above.

        Solution:
is it possible to make an adjustment to the latest
        yahoo1-5-8b1.xpi
so it will work for TB 2?

        OR

would it be possible to adjust the
        Webmail-Yahoo 1.4.7
        that I've been using
so that it will work with the changes in Yahoo mail site?

        OR
        some other solution?

        OR
do I just need to get a newer operating system?
(I hope that's not my only solution...)

Thank you very much for considering my request.
