Thanks FND, that's exactly what I did. The tiddler appears at the top, below the titles. The message is short and the font is small, so it looks like a thin strip. Plus I have tweaked the tiddler in such a way that only the "close" option appears and none of the time stamps or whatever interfere. It's good enough for my purpose.
