That's exactly the reason why I don't understand jQuery hasn't been made available as a plugin. There are already plugins dependent on other plugins. Why the core has to be dependent on something which isn't essential to the well functioning TiddlyWiki core itself, already - with but limited use cases, as animation? I simply don't understand. My pledge for a non-jQuery fork wasn't meant as incompatible to jQuery - but making it meanwhile optional only. And if jQuery really would bring more general advantages, like: * better compatibility between browsers * allowing to view a TiddlyWiki without javascript enabled browsers * increasing the saving speed for large TWs * ... I would be the first who would use such a jQuerry plugin in all my TiddlyWikis. But this to materialize will take many months, if not years.. I hate being a Job's prophet, but my prediction that we will meet at linear GoogleGroups in a year's time again for support, more than a year ago - after my not so well received suggestion of using any simple forum software instead - has sadly also come true.
