http://lastfm.tiddlyspot.com/#NotesRecent ...into a DefaultTiddler and calling it "Recent Blog Posts" or simply "My Startpage Title" may be what you're looking for, while being able to quickly add content using something like this: http://lastfm.tiddlyspot.com/#Notes ...which is sort of a Mod of QuickNotes, amongst other things adding a refresh to other tiddlers (look for refreshDisplay in the code) .
