Birthe, Mark, I downloaded a fresh, empty version of TiddlyBlink, opened it in my browser, made an amendment, saved it.
Then I downloaded a fresh version of TD, and opened the file mentioned in the paragraph above, amended it, tried to save it and got the red warning again!! Something was wrong. I realised that dragging TD to the trash bin, as is the normal way of uninstalling an app on MacOS, was not sufficient. I went to the hidden folders (called Library) and deleted all the left-over TD stuff. And that did the trick !! I can now use TD without any problems, and it's automatic saving is heaven compared with the saving process in the browser. Many thanks for your help and patience. My apologies for not checking the hidden folder before - I've been on MacOS for a couple of months only. Issue closed. -- Securely sent with Tutanota.
