Tony: I actually do consider it a feature. My original audience for this was after all just myself and I've been happy with the behaviour for the last 2.5 years. It's much harder to know what will work for others, so at that point I tend to want to allow more flexibility until feedback emerges that points towards a narrower path.
I have played with multiple ideas when I first put this together. Don't open a tiddler in the second story if it's already open in the first, or close it in the first story and open in the second. In the end I found the current behaviour the most predictable myself.
