Ah I see your point, Riz. There is a new version now, where the author (and the second link) is beneath the card to maintain your concept of the whole card is one link.
Another reason why I would prefer this over the existing design is that I think the author name does not provide much information to new users and is a bit too prominent in the second line of text before the explanation.
