I would support the message that the doers such as Eric make themes and templates we can use.
It is easy for a Design Literate person to criticize any Aesthetic design. This is the nature of design. The much harder thing is for Designers to prepare a set of high quality designs and convert them to themes we can all use. The themes, their configuration options and systematic explanation are well served by specialists. Now designers should spend the time and learn what they need to bring a range of well developed theme designs to the community. Criticism serves no purpose if it is not constructive. You may not know how to write a script but if you are a colorist then you can contribute colour combination's.
