Thanks for reading my mind, Michael — the IncludePlugin is a bit of a step left from what I was asking about initially, but I have a couple of TWs that could really benefit from being tied together in that way. I'm off to read up on how it works, how it affects search, etc. ... .
Oh, and your links also revealed a trick I didn't know — binding tiddler names in double brackets, a la file:///path/to/TiddlyWiki.html#[[My Hypothetical Tiddler with Spaces in the Name]].
