Hi Mario, That's some neat work you've done here. Looks quite fancy! :)
One question: What's the idea of thumbs, if clicking on them doesn't actually show a bigger version of the image? I find using such in your examples a bit confusing. I would also not overload examples with "don't do this or that" but rather have a dedicated "do's and don't's" tiddler maybe with a table that possibly indicates as to which example(s) that bit of advice applies ...if such distinctions are actually needed. Putting the troublesome bits into a dedicated spot, reduces the amount of information per example. One piece of advice for newbee's might be that they can actually put the config stuff in hidden sections, and how this is done or to actually explain in the first place that configuration is done either via dedicated config tiddlers or tiddler sections... which might not be obvious to a tw newbee wanting to dig into this lovely plugin. Technically, this plugin rocks. As for its representation I wished it looked a lot less like a technical documentation but more like fancybox expressing itself ...presenting it with almost the same visual appeal as it provides itself. That starts with putting paddings around thumbs. Personally, I would only reveal the technical stuff when one actually needs it ...maybe in the form of a slider. I tend to want to focus on how an example works, not necessarily the implementation details. At least to me, they're secondary in that you only need to know any of that if the example is actually the one you want to implement. Also, instead of tiddlers popping up, I would think the examples would do good with a dropdown list while selecting one would switch to the example right below the dropdown ...in the same tiddler. As for style - unrelated to your plugin code - I always like those thumbs which show interesting sections of the images instead of just minified versions. Clicking the thumb then reveals the entire image. This seems an easy, yet visually appealing way to squeeze images into uniform thumbnail sizes. If you want and don't mind me tampering with it, you can add me as a member to the fancybox space and I'd be happy to help give it the presentation it begs for. Best wishes, Tobias. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
