Sorry for not having been more precise. > What is the relationship > betweenhttp://www.TiddlyTools.com/#InstantBookmarklets > http://www.tiddlytools.com/#InstantBookmarklets > and the ImportTiddlersPlugin.
ImportTiddlersPlugin is like any plugin easiest installed by copying its content in 'edit' mode for the source to a new tiddler in your TW. Give it the same title and a systemConfig tag, click 'done', Save the TW and reload the browser tab. In that it's no different to any other plugin, and you always can install plugin that way even if backstage import doesn't work. Now ImportTiddlersPlugin creates a panel (see under shadowed tiddlers) which gives you much more importing options than the default backstage import, but moreover, in my experience it always works to import tiddlers directly without having to use the manual copy and paste method (described above). A bookmarklet is which loads the same ImportTiddlersPlugin from a remote url doesn't install the plugin, but it loads its functions for the current session only. As soon as the browser tab is reloaded its functions are gone again, unless you click the link in your browser bookmarks bar again and its functions are again loaded temporarily. A bookmarklets advantage over having a plugin installed lies manly in not having to install huge plugins which aren't needed many times. Important: you can only use ImportTiddler as bookmarklet if you drag its link from the 'InstandBookmarklets tiddler, any other link to ImportTiddlers plugin wont work, because it's only a plain link and not constructed to load the actual plugin function from a remote url. Hope this helps you further on your odysee.. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
