Okay, so if I'm reading that right: You are starting with a empty 2.7.0 and importing all your old tiddlers from a 2.6.6. Than after you import your old tiddlers it losses the ability to save?
It sounds like something you are importing is causing systems issues. You may try only importing your data and no plugins from your old wiki, and than adding plugins back one at a time until you run across the one that is causing saving to stop working. If there's no real personal information in the Tw (Either the none working 2.6.6 or the exported bulk) I could look though it and see if I can find anything that could be causing issues if you wanted to upload it somewhere.
