Hi Lyall

The behaviour of opening every tiddler that is imported is just a temporary
thing.

There is an almost invisible "close all" button at the bottom of the list
in the "open" tab of the sidebar.

It sounds like you'll want to keep your main work in TW classic for a while
longer, but I hope you have a chance to experiment with TW5 for a
sideproject.
