So I think there is no "all-in-one menue suitable for every purpose", because the effort to create it, outweights the benefits. Every solution you mentioned imo covers 80% of the use cases. So I'd combine 2 systems and I'm done. ... Having a "mega plugin" that fits your brainstorming would need 20+ parameters. So imo nobody will be able to set them right. IMO Instead of making one big plugin, that does it all, you should have several plugins, that do one thing well and let them work together. Especially, since most devices used today are touch enabled, which adds a lot more possibilities. I'm not sure, what your usecase is. ...
