OK, I can't duplicate that behaviour by creating a blank TiddlyWiki
containing a tiddler with the title "Meeting Name [16.07.2014]".

What browser and operating system are you using?

One other thing to try: compose a URL consisting of the file URL of your
file plus #%24%3A%2FControlPanel:%24%3A%2FControlPanel

So, if your wiki is at file:///users/jack/mywiki.html then you'd copy and
paste the following URL to a new browser tab:

file:///users/jack/mywiki.html#%24%3A%2FControlPanel:%24%3A%2FControlPanel

Then try to turn off the address bar updating as described in my original
post.

Best wishes

Jeremy
