Well, it's usually a mistake to post something in the middle of the night
and this one was no exception. Here are a few things I wish I had said:

First, the title should not be "Clustered story view" but something like
"Train of Thought story view". (Merely clustering misses out on the
sequencing.)

And I should have mentioned that this is probably what a *working desk* at
home would look like if you were using physical paper index cards instead
of tiddlers. Piles, divided into topics and stacked so that you read from
front to back. But do note that also physical cards are also a compromise
and not your actual thoughs - you'd likely fiddle around to find a card (a
thought), rahter than make a new copy of it due to the effort involved. The
idea with repeated occurences of a title in the list is to reduce such
compromises.

Now, that said, I'm not sure one would want to reflect the *actual* opening
of tiddlers but instead a *desired* (designed) sequence. The actual train
of though includes distractions, manifested as quick "back and forths"
between two tiddlers, perhaps due to *constructing* the tiddler (rather
than thinking the thought) or I was sidetracked by mistake. Only some
thoughs (be they repetitions or new thoughts) are desired to document.
(Possibly solved with a simple removal of a title in the list, clicking a
small "x"?)

Second, a train-of-thought list shown in one such tiddler is not, I think,
necessarily open tiddlers but merely tiddler titles. I'm guessing, it
should not be too difficult to have multiple instances of one title for the
same reason that a title can be typed multiple times into a regular tiddler
text. I'm guessing the current (global) history list is some kind of array
that intentionally deletes the old occurence but that this step could be
omitted. (But then, I'm no programmer...)

A, for today new, thought is that there are similarities with the Tabbed
Table of Contents
<http://tiddlywiki.com/#TableOfContentsMacro%20Tabbed%20Example>. Maybe it
would make sense to reuse the visual aspects so to get a coherent and
familiar look for these things, assuming it doesn't interfere with the
functinality of the idea. If real estate is limited (cell phones) perhaps
having it, on hover, pop out from the tiddler gutter (i.e the white
centimeter space framing a tiddler). This is related to a discussion I had
with Tobias on general use for the (underused?) tiddler gutters. This is an
idea for ToC also.

BTW, the physical lenght of a train-of-thought list (i.e in one such stack)
deals with similar ssues that e.g sidebar lists do. I.e how much should be
shown - should it be scrollable, fixed lenght etc.

Ok, I'll get back on the valuable input you other guys have posted. No time
just now. Thank you, btw.
