I think this filter expression might work for you (in $:/_buttons/print):
<$button tooltip="Print" class="tc-btn-invisible">
<$x-print $filter="[search{$:/temp/search}] -[[$:/temp/search]]"/>
{{$:/_image/print.svg}}
</$button>
Enter your search term in the search box -- then hit the 'Print' button.
