The use of the icon field likely brings some premade formats with it. It is a bit unclear for me exactly what it is you're asking, but here is an article <http://twaddle.tiddlyspot.com/#The%20Tiddler%20Hooker%20Method%2C%20part%201> I wrote on more general method for controlling the position and everything for a "hooked image", i.e it does not use the easy-peasy icon field method. BTW, the easiest way to experiment with this (and many other things) is probably by using the SideEditor <http://sideeditor.tiddlyspot.com/> plugin.
