Did you try this minHeight? It worked for me like this: <$edit-text tiddler="$:/plugins/telmiger/Clipboard/cb" placeholder="Clipboard" default="This is your clipboard." rows="2" minHeight="2em" class="te-cb-edittext"/> Maybe you will have to specify an adequate number of rows (lines) too.
