Sorry, if I wasnt that clear. Yes I have three local TW and I am using
them on Firefox 53 under Ubuntu 16.04 with Tiddyfox addon installed (I
have reinstalled it to see if that solves my problem. it didnt).
Before I had them setup with autosave option so I never had to press the
save button. That button didnt even go red because the wiki would save
itself. Yeseterday I realised that this does not happen any longer. I am
not sure when did happened because I dont enter data very often. The
latest saved tiddy dates from the 3rd of april 2017.
Now when I create a new entry, after clicking the "confirm changes"
button, the save button on the right stays red, unlike before. If I
press it, I get the save file dialogue. If I press save, the red button
goes back to normal and I get no errors, but when I press reload in the
browser the entry hasnt been saved.
I tried to create a new clean profile in Firefox but I get the same in
that profile. File permissions seem to be fine. I downloaded the very
latest version and imported the data from the old wiki into the new one
but same happens. No data is saved.

Hi Enrike
Just asking this to clarify your post (for everyone):
So, are you saying that you're using a local TW and you want to save it,
again to local.
When you click the red save-wiki button a browser download window opens
that asks you to save it with another file name... but you click cancel
to this.
To me it doesn't sound surprising that it is not saved, since you really
cancel the saving.
But if I understand you right, you mean that previously there was no
such download window and the file just saved by overwriting the previous
copy of it. And you're using the TiddlyFox FF addon, right?
I have no great answer to your question but I hear browser safety
restrictions are tightening and this might be a reason. Again, assuming
I understand your question right.
