It may be possible to add something like this to the core, but it wouldn't be straight forward. The biggest problem is determining where the outer containing tiddler is, like if you have multiple lists inside each other how do you determine which containing tiddler you want? It would have to be an nth parent sort of thing and I am not certain that would be any simpler to use than what we have now.
