If it opens the browser dialogue, the plugin seems to be disabled.

If you *open the dev-console with F12* and save your TW it should show: 
saver-handler: Saving wiki with method autosave through saver tiddlyfox  in 
the "Console" tab. 

If it doesn't show this text, the plugin is _not_ active and can't work!

I'm using FF 61.0.2 with win 10 atm

I did also test it with 62.0b19 ... Both 0.35 and the beta work for me 
there. 

I have to say, I have no clue atm, what's going on with your FF version.
