Kelli, in case you're very much a beginner you might consider starting out 
with only a TiddlyWiki to get the hang of it before you add TiddlyDesktop? 
TiddlyWiki itself is just a html file so it can be a "desktop app" too, if 
that is what you prefer.

If you want it online, I'd recommend Tiddlyspot which is a free hosting 
service. It is most easily set up here <http://tiddlywiki5.tiddlyspot.com>.
