I get the same problem...

Vista 32 bit, svc pack 1, 3GB system RAM, Firefox 3.06

the memory and CPU use climb until the CPU is at 100% and the memory
keeps climbing indefinitely. I think the first time I tried it, I let
it go on long enough to freeze the system, since then I've either
whacked Firefox or just the tab.

(but on Windows XP Home Edition V2002, svc pack 3, Firefox 3.06 it
climbs for a while but eventually seems to settle down.)

It climbs really fast, about 40,000 K every time the Task Manager
"ticks". Killing the tab reclaims a lot of that memory immediately (I
let it get up to 800,000 K, closed the tab, and it shed 400,000K
within a few seconds)...CPU takes a bit longer (20-30 secs) to drop
from 100% back to 0, with memory settling back down to 220,000K for
just Firefox open on the groups.google.com page.

TiddlyTools was just at the default tiddlers, I don't have to do any
navigation for it to happen. The memory leak wasn't always the
case... the first few times I hit TiddlyTools, (a couple months ago?)
when I first discovered TiddlyWiki, it was behaving normally and I was
able to open and explore a bunch of tiddlers and generally leave the
tab hanging around with no problems.
