Not so sure about that. Personally, I'm not a fan of endless threads... or perhaps "the one thread to fit them all". I like having focused discussions. TWtid/TWted/TWcalc complexity suggests that it's far too much for one discussion thread... it's an entire application set. On Github, you'd possible use the wiki and bug tracking to manage it all. So, a good discussion for me would be that which corresponds to what in other systems is a single question, bug or feature request.
