Not so sure about that. Personally, I'm not a fan of endless threads... or perhaps "the one thread to fit them all". I like having focused discussions. TWtid/TWted/TWcalc's complexity suggests that its far too much for one discussion thread... it's an entire application set. On Github you'd possibly use the wiki and bug tracking to manage it all. A good discussion for me would is what in other systems corresponds to a comment thread on a single question, bug or feature request.
