It's amazing how one suggestion starts the cog wheels turning. Why not a widget that automatically compresses the text in the text field in a tiddler that has a _canonical_uri field when you hit "Save this tiddler" button. This would take advanage of being able to drag text into the text edit field. I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions?
