@anyone who's interested I've made http://titlepicker.tiddlyspot.com and I think it is a functional little macro that can bring value to people. What is really missing is for the picklist to not steal real estate like it does now, so I figure that having the picklist as a popup at curs.., eh, *caret* position is what makes most sense.
Because the popup is to appear without any action (other than from typing the triggering string in EditView) I figure it has to be a div, not an actionwidget (such as button-triggered popup). I have found the following method to get the x/y coords of a caret: Here <https://stackoverflow.com/questions/29709/how-do-i-get-the-x-y-pixel-coordinates-of-the-caret-in-text-boxes> is someone who has compared several methods - and says this one <https://github.com/component/textarea-caret-position> is the best - which is demo'ed here <http://jsfiddle.net/dandv/aFPA7/>. Pure js, MIT. Maybe there are even better methods? Regardless, some solution seems like a valuable addition to TW. <:-) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWikiDev" group.
