I'm sure it does.

But, again, *with the packages you tell me I should need installed*, namely
libjpeg62 and libjpeg62-devel, *the .h file which tiger wants to build is
not available anywhere on the machine*.  I reran updatedb and redid a locate,
both as root.

I should think you'd want to know that.
