Try running Lady Heather on it (you may first need to configure it to not use
parity) you might get more information.
The self-survey mode requires the satellites to be in a configuration with good
"dilution of precision". It can be tracking several satellites, but if they
are not in good positions, it will not be able to use them for generating
fixes.
