Hi

It's a very handy gizmo for setting up a "manual" network analyzer. If you need 
to do a dip or peak on a circuit parameter they can be easier (and cheaper) to 
use than a full blown vector network analyzer. I've never seen them used to do 
Time Nut stuff.
