For the Thunderbolt GPSDO, search for the words leap second in the ThunderBoltBook2003.PDF document. Packet 0x8F-AC. I think all GPS timing receivers have a similar feature. Some receivers wait until the beginning of the month before they turn on the bit. So you'll see it after June 1, 2012. For the Motorola Oncore receivers you can get additional information; the various LSF fields which tell you the day and week numbers and the future leap second count.
