Hi Bjoern, Possibly, I am just reciting what I read in the Nordig requirements a looong time ago. Maybe they are worried about far north permafrost scenarios that go deeper? You need to build your houses foundation "deep" enough to stand on non frozen ground. Otherwise your house will move to much with the seasons and likely break.
