Great question I think the newer basics have no problem with that rate and also many more com ports. I seem to recall liberty basic free and for $59 you get a distro license or more lines of code or something. The basics out their seem pretty capable these days. You still have Windows VB also. Which if you use a single module behaves like traditional basic. I actually imported many pgms into it that way. Good luck and let us know what you find that works for you. Regards Paul WB8TSL
